Nardo, the Hippie

​Carlos L. A. (AKA Nardo, the Hippie) is a 24-year-old independent music recording artist who was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Nardo first began writing music/poetry his senior year of high school after realizing all the freestyle sessions with the homies, he could actually make something structured musically like a mixtape or an album. Nardo self-recorded, mixed and mastered his first three demo/mixtape projects on his laptop in his bedrooms while attending Texas Tech University full-time. He is known to make music with a fusion of everything from hip-hop/rap to elements of R&B, EDM and other grooves. His musical influences include the following to name a few: Kid Cudi, Toro y Moi, Curren$y, Lil Wayne, Eminem, The Notorious B.I.G., Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, Travis Scott, Skepta, Quavo & Kirk Franklin. Nardo's passion-infused performances are equally as engaging as they are entertaining.

After graduating with his Undergraduate Degree in Psychology & Spanish from Texas Tech University in May of 2018, Nardo officially founded his independent record label called Trill Texas Sound Entertainment Worldwide. He spent two months touring Western Europe over the following summer, visiting 9 countries, performing at various venues where he had the opportunity, attending music festivals and promoting for the release of his first independent album Adventures on Nardo's Island. Nardo dropped his first music video for his song Feelin Alright which was filmed in Stuttgart, Germany in August 2018. Nardo founded Trill Texas Worldwide, LLC in the Fall of 2018 in Dallas, Texas and hasn't looked back ever since. He founded Trill Texas Productions, LLC in the Spring of 2019.
